Highway Resurfacing Chaos In Rossendale
Disgraceful scenes in Rossendale at the beginning of this month.
Highway contractors carrying out resurfacing work at Burnley Road in Rawtenstall left great long mounds of chippings in the carriageway – yards in length, a foot or more in in width and over two inches in depth.
Local authorities and maintenance contractors have a legal duty to take care for the safety of all road users when carrying out resurfacing work….And putting up a few signs here and there simply doesn’t cut it.
This kind of wanton disregard for the safety of cyclists puts lives at risk.
We will not allow it to pass unchallenged.
Mulderrigs Saddle Up To Support Rossendale Rays
Rossy Rays (Charity No:1118428) organise weekly special needs cycling and swimming sessions from their base at Marl Pits in Rossendale.
We are very proud to have been sponsors of this fabulous club ever since its formation over fifteen years ago.
Our gaffer Paul Mulderrig is a keen member of Team Rays, the fundraising cyclists who support the club.
Later this month Paul and 12 pals will be mountain biking through the Scottish Borders to raise a few quid for our our amazing members.
If you can spare a shilling or two please do!
