The head of the Civil Court Service says that the system is “stretched to the limit”.
We completely agree.
The solicitors at Mulderrigs are obliged to conduct court actions which are subject to very strict deadlines imposed by judges.
There are serious sanctions if we fail to keep up.
The court can charge our clients as much as £10000 just to start a court action.
But when we call courts up and down the country the phone often goes completely unanswered.
We sometimes wait weeks to receive replies to our correspondence to the court.
All the while our clients are left to sit and wait for things to move forward.
That’s what counts as civil “justice” in 2018
