From our accidents at work team.
Mrs Winterton was working at a care home in Staffordshire when she suffered an injury to her back.
One of the residents needed a great deal of assistance and the care plan made it clear that any lifting should be done by two care assistants working together.
But on the day of the accident there was a staff shortage and our client was asked to move the elderly resident on her own, and suffered a wrenching injury to her back.
We took on the claim against the care home who were clearly in breach of their duty to take care for the safety of Mrs Winterton.
We gathered medical evidence about her injury and then had to bring court proceedings in order to sort matters out.
We recently helped Mrs Winterton settle her claim for £8500.
