£60,000 for injured footballer

Mr Henderson was badly injured as a result of a reckless challenge whilst playing in an amateur football game in North Yorkshire.

He had come on to the field as a substitute late in the game. He played a ball down the line along the deck to a team mate and was then clattered at knee height by an opposing player long after the ball had gone.

The offending player received a straight red card and was sent off the field, but our client was left on the deck with a broken right leg.

We agreed to take on the case against the offending player and his insurers.

Football injury claims can be extremely difficult, but Paul Mulderrig and Diane Hamilton have been succesfully representing injured players for over fifteen years.

Once we had gathered all the evidence from the match referee and the other players it was clear that the offending player should be held responsible for our client’s injury and his insurers sensibly admitted liability.

The injury turned out to be very serious, and it played havoc with our client’s career; he was just coming up to qualification as a teacher at the time of his injury, and all his plans had to be put on hold for two years.

We recently helped our client settle his claim for £60,000.00.
