£27000 compensation for an elderly shopper injured in Tesco

Mrs Breen was a sprightly seventy-five year-old until a very nasty accident in a Tesco store in Greater Manchester last year.

She was shopping with her husband when she slipped on squashed grapes which had fallen on the floor in the fruit section of the store and hadn’t been cleared away. Our client suffered a badly broken leg and had a very rough time of things for several months.

The supermarket initially denied responsibility for the accident, but they have a legal duty to take care for the safety of shoppers, and we agreed to take on Mrs Breen’s claim.

We issued court proceedings on behalf of our client and we are pleased to report that we have recently settled her claim for over £27,000.
