London construction accident - mulderrigs solicitors

Joe Graham was injured whilst working in the warehouse of a steel fabricators.

He was walking through the warehouse whilst another member of staff was using an overhead crane to move a large piece of steel.

Unfortunately the steel fell out of the crane and struck Joe as it fell.

He suffered an injury to his back and was away from work for a while. But luckily the injury didn’t prove to be too serious and he managed to get back to work.

All employers have a legal duty to take care for the safety of their employees. They should operate a safe system of work and provide safe equipment.

Employers are also subject to strict regulations in cases where there is a risk that a worker might be struck by something falling from height.

So we agreed to take on Joe’s case and we agreed to work on “no win no fee” terms.

We sent a detailed Letter of Claim to his employers and their insurers quickly admitted liability for the accident.

We then obtained a specialist medical report in relation to Joe’s injuries, and once that was disclosed to the insurers we were able to reach a settlement of £10000 in Joe’s claim.
