Medical Negligence Elbow Surgery

Mrs Burton from Bury, Gtr Manchester instructed Mulderrigs in a medical negligence claim.

She fell down stairs at home and suffered a serious fracture of her left elbow.

A surgeon assessed the injury and he decided to carry out an operation.

But the surgeon got things wrong and the surgery only made things worse.

Mrs Burton was left with a reduced range of movement and permanent pain as a result of the operation.

She also required further major surgery to insert an artificial elbow joint.

Mrs Burton had worked as a senior staff nurse but couldn’t return to active duty.

Mulderrigs took on the medical negligence claim against the negligent surgeons.

Our medical expert  delivered a report to say that the surgeon’s error had made things much worse for our client.

A specialist barrister gave advice and court proceedings were issued.

The NHS Trust then agreed to negotiate with us.

We helped our client settle her case for £200,000.
