Profit-Share Scheme for referring solicitors
At Mulderrigs we have an established and successful profit-sharing scheme for personal injury referrals from other solicitors.
We make an immediate (non-refundable) payment of £250.00+vat when we agree to act in cases that are referred to us by other solicitors.
At the end of successful cases (most of them!) we then top up the payment so that, overall, the referring solicitor receives 10% of our basic costs and any success fee.
We have been LEXCEL accredited since 2002, and have genuine personal injury specialists on our team; Paul Mulderrig and Jo Smith are both members of the Law Society PI Panel.
If you would like to discuss referring a case to us please don't hesitate to get in touch.
(Fee sharing between practising solicitors in both England and Scotland is perfectly permissible, and our scheme does not involve any element of "referral fees".)
£500,000.00 compensation for a pedestrian's brain injury.
Mr Wilkins from Derbyshire suffered a serious head injury when he was hit by a car as he attempted to cross the road on the way home from a New Year's party in the early hours of the morning. His local solicitor was struggling to get anywhere with the case because it was clear that our client had been drinking quite heavily. We agreed to take on the claim on "no win no fee" terms. We investigated the case and proved that the car driver could have taken steps to avoid the collision. We helped our client get over £500,000.00 in compensation, and made a payment of over £9,900.00 to the referring solicitors in respect of their own fees and share of our fees.
£600,000.00 head injury compensation for young man who fell from window of a council house
Mr Larkin suffered a serious head injury after falling from the bedroom window of a council house in Gtr Manchesterwhen he was just a toddler. The local solicitor was struggling with the case because there were arguments about the condition of the windows and allegations of lack of supervision by his parents, so he referred the client on to us. We agreed to take over the claim and helped our client to recover over £600,000.00 in compensation. We then made a payment of over £3,000.00 to the referring solicitors in respect of their own fees, and their share of our fees.
£17,000.00 compensation for injured boatyard worker
Mr Hindle had a serious accident in a boatyard in Cornwall. He was asked to operate a cherry-picker crane in a confined space and ended up getting crushed between the crane and the side of the boat he was working on. He suffered a serious crushing injury to his elbow, which left him with some loss of sensation. His local solicitors referred the case to us because they didn't feel comfortable taking on a claim which involved the complex workplace regulations, and where there were allegations of contributory. We brought court proceedings for our client and helped him recover over £17,000.00 in compensation. We then made a profit-share payment of over £600.00 to the referring solicitor.
£150,000.00 for a worker who fell from a trailer
Mr Underhill suffered a severe shoulder injury when he fell from the back of a trailer whilst working as a labourer. He hadn't been properly trained, and there was nothing in place to prevent him falling from a substantial height. He was originally represented by a high street solicitor near Burnley, but she was struggling to make headway with the claim against the employer's insurers and referred the client on to us./ We gathered all of the evidence and got on with court proceedings against the employers. We then settled the claim for £150,000.00 and made a payment of over £17,000.00 to the referring solicitor in respect of her fees, and share in our fees.
£210,000.00 for multiple injuries after fall from a high ladder
Mr Brackley was referred to us by a high street solicitor in North Manchester. He had suffered multiple injuries when he fell around thirty feet from the roof of a house where he was working on a loft conversion. His employers had broken just about every rule in the book, and our client was asked to lift heavy materials whilst working from a ladder, rather than being provided with a safe working platform. We took on the claim against the insurers for the employers, and once we had gathered all the medical evidence we helped our client settle his claim for over £210,000.00 in compensation. The referring solicitor received a profit-share payment in excess of £1,500.00.
(The names of our clients have been changed).
