Rossendale Rays Swimming Club
The club (Charity No:1118428) was founded in 2004 and provides swimming activities for both adults and children with learning difficulties and profound physical challenges.
The club meets at Marl Pits pool in Rawtenstall, Lancs every Sunday from 3.30-5.30PM
Paul Mulderrig (Club Chairman) is pictured above with one of our star members, Corey Scott.
We are always keen to attract new members, and there are no joining fees and anyone who is interested is welcome to come along any Sunday afternoon to have a look at what we do.
We are also always keen to attract volunteer helpers - If you fancy helping out please just come along any Sunday.
For further info - Please call Paul or Clare Mulderrig on 01706 222852
How did Mulderrigs get involved with the Rays? Oh, that would be something to do with a young whippersnapper called Caspar Mulderrig, pictured having a splash with Paul at Daytona Beach.
Fund Raising
Paul says "The club does some wonderful work for the members, but it's an expensive business. So, if anyone out there fancies doing any kind of fund-raising event for us we'd be delighted to hear from them.
Fifth Annual Rossy Rays Bike Ride - May 2012
We're in the advanced stages of planning our Fifth Annual Bike Ride to take place in May 2012. We're hoping that Team Rays will take on a 200 mile Lochs & Glens route throught the heart of Bonny Scotland and hoping to raise £5,000.00 or more, so we'd be delighed to hear from anyone interested in supporting the event.
Previous events for the Rays have included Coast-to-Coast cycle rides in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 raising over £15,000.00 and a black tie ball back in September 2007 which also raised a massive £15,000.00.
