Massive win for injured biker
Mr Overson was involved in a seriousmotorcycle accident in 2006. He was riding to work in Preston on a Yamaha Dragstar when a car emerged from a junction and wiped him out.
Our client was there to be seen and was displaying dipped headlights, so there was really no excuse for the driver and the insurers quickly admitted liability.
Unfortunately, our client suffered serious injuries, including fractures of his elbow, leg and knee.
We couldn't settle the case until we had some final medical evidence, but we were able to get interim payments for our our client as the case was progressing, including the cost of some necessary surgery.
We then settled his claim for £130,000.00 just a few days ago.

A good result for injured school secretary
Mrs Ronson suffered a very unpleasant accident at work. She was walking along a corridor of the college where she worked when she slipped on a wet floor where a spillaged hadn't been properly cleaned up.
Our client suffered a serious injury to her knee, which left her with permanent problems.
Every employer has a legal duty to take care for the safety of employees and there are detailed health & safety regulations about the maintenance of safe "traffic routes" (anywhere that workers may walk in their workplace).
The insurers for the college initially denied responsibility for the accident, so we brought court proceedings for our client, and at a trial last month she was awarded compensation of over £33,000.00.

A month of milestones at Mulderrigs
We've lucky enough to have had a very settled team here at Mulderrigs for many years, and two of our staff have recently passed major milestones.
In September our most experienced lawyer,Diane Hamilton (left), celebrated 21 years of working with Paul Mulderrig, and our director, Jo Smith (right), reached her tenth anniversary with the firm.
Asked to comment on these long service milestones, Paul Mulderrig said "It's been one of the highlights of my career to work closely with these two great lawyers over such a long period.
I've seen both of them achieve some fantastic results for our clients during that time."
God knows how they've both put up with Mulderrig for so long.... but that's another story!
