A succesful claim for an injured hospital cleaner
Mrs Bardsley was badly injured as a result of an accident at work. She was working as a cleaner in a secure unit at a hospital when a heavy metal door fell from its hinges and hit her on the head.
The hospital and the contractors who had fitted the door were falling out about who should be responsible for our client's compensation, so we just got on with preparing her claim.
The injuries were quite complex and we ended up with evidence from experts in neurology, orthopaedics, psychiatry and pain management.
At a meeting at the end of April we settled our client's case for over £50,000.00.
(The name of our client has been changed).
Seetal Sagar qualifies as a solicitor
The Mulderrigs team was boosted over the last few weeks when Seetal qualified as a solicitor.
Seetal (pictured here) has been with the company for around two years and has mainly specialised in claims for injured car accident victims.
In May 2010 there's a massive change in the rules for handling injury claims for car accident victims, and Seetal will be busy helping our clients to deal with the new rules. She's also keen to develop her expertise in other areas of the law, with a particular interest in claims for people who suffer injuries from the dangerous chemicals used by hairdressers.
And Seetal will have cause for a double celebration in 2010. As well as qualifying as a solicitor, she's also getting married in the Summer!!
Rossedale Rays 3rd Annual Bike Ride
It's that time of year again! Paul Mulderrig and pals will be saddling up for another marathon bike ride in June to raise funds for our chosen charity, Rossendale Rays (charity - No:1118428).
This year Paul and his team are tackling the 200 mile Coast & Castles route from Newcastle to Edinburgh from 11-13 June.
Paul said "This will be our third annual ride to raise funds for the Rays. It's a fabulous club, providing swimming facilities for members of all ages and with all sorts of special needs.
"The club are now in the early stages of forming a competetive swimming team and they have formed links with the Special Olympics organisation. No doubt this will cost them a fortune, so we're keen to raise as much as we can to help with the club's activities."
You can support the event at www.justgiving.com/RossyRaysBikeRide2010
And no doubt Mr M will be tweeting throughout the event in June.
Our headline pic shows Paul's bike at Sharneyford, Bacup on 2nd May and our other pic shows Paul with son Tom on the coast-to-coast ride in 2008.
