We are delighted to announce that Mulderrigs have received the Investors In People Silver Award for 2011/12.
We are proud to have been recognised as Investors In People ever since 2001, and we hope you think it's reflected in the quality of our customer care.
Investors has been enormously helpful to us in retaining a highly motivated and expertly qualified group of staff..... Honestly, some of them have stayed so long we think they may never leave!

£190,000 for injured worker
Mr Swanson worked for a major national contractor maintaining and reparing streetlights.
One day he was stood on the back of his wagon while a colleague was moving a lamppost with the hiab crane. The colleague lost control of the hiab and the lamppost clattered into our client causing a serious back injury.
Liability for the accident was straightforward, and we soon persuaded the insurers for the employer to admit responsibility for the accident. However, the insurers refused to negotiate sensibly.
We were always confident that our client was perfectly genuine, and that his injuries had been very serious so we advised our client to pursue his case through the court.
We reached a settlement in December, just before the case was due for trial and our client will receive £190,000.00 for his injuries, loss of earnings and loss of pension.

£80,000 for injured biker
Mr Braden was riding a GSX-R750 Suzuki on his way to see a customer. He was passing a line of parked cars when one of them suddenly pulled out without warning, swiping him off the bike and causing serious leg injuries.
It was clear that the driver was to blame and we quickly obtained an admission from the insurers.
But valuing the claim turntook some time because our client's injury turned out to be very serious, and he had to undergo a number of operations on his injured leg.
Instead of fighting all the way to a trial, many cases can now be resolved at a Joint Settlement Meeting if insurers are prepared to negotiate sensibly. In Mr Braden's case the insurers for the offending motorist agreed to a meeting in December and we reached a settlement which will see our client receive £80,000.00 in copmensation for his inuries.

£16,000 for injured footballer
Mr Smolden is a big lad, over 6ft 4 tall and, over the years he has played football at a pretty high level.
A couple of years ago he was helping out a local amateur club on the south coast.
During one particular game he suffered a very serious eye injury when an opposing player attempted a reckless overheadkick at a set peice and kicked him in the face.
Now an overhead kick ia a perfectly legitimate manouvre, but the opposing player knew that Mr Smoldon was right beside him and should have realised that to kick out aggressively at that height involved a clear risk of causing a serious injury, so we agreed to take on the case on "no win no fee" terms.
The insurers for the offending player contested the case all the way through the courts, but at a trial in Brighton in December the Judge agreed that it was dangerous and negligent to attempt the overhead kick the way and our client was awarded over £16,000.00 for his injuries.
