It's an unfortunate consequence of the "credit crunch", but over the last few months Mulderrigs have been instructed by a number of injured workers in cases where their employers went out of business some time after the accident. Under the Employers' Liability (Compulsory Insurance) Act 1969 it's compulsory for all employers to have insurance to cover claims by injured workers. This makes it possible for injured workers to claim compensation even if the company goes out of business after the accident. The procedure can be complicated, but our solicitors are experts in work accident cases, and we're here to help.
